Yon stepped into one of those illegal animal traps.
Although he survived, his leg had to be amputated. We had the operation carried out by Dr Tookta and covered the costs. Yon does have an owner, but they cannot afford this.
Yon has recovered well here with us. His blood test results are not bad. However, he is still a little underweight.
We’re giving his owner some food to take home so he can feed Yon properly. It’s a tragedy that we’ve had to care for and have three dogs operated on in just a few months, simply because a criminal has set animal traps that are banned in Thailand.
Yon is doing well again, but it could easily have turned out differently. The poor dog was simply lucky to have managed to free himself.
